AI in Action: Collaborative Design for Small Businesses

In this project, I supported a hands-on learning series designed to help small business owners in the Oakland community explore how AI can make everyday work smarter, not harder. Collaborating with Northeastern University students and community leads, we co-created slide materials that unpacked the roles of AI assistants and agents, showing how these tools can handle real business tasks. Using Miro’s collaboration boards, we shaped each session around the real goals of local businesses, turning ideas into action.

During the workshops, we worked directly with Claude and ChatGPT to draft marketing materials, refine communications, and experiment with creative problem-solving. I introduced the Pentagon Model for Prompt Engineering — a simple but powerful framework for helping business owners structure clear, goal-focused instructions and confidently delegate tasks to AI tools.

AI-Driven Workplace Learning

Partnering with AI is a five-session adventure designed to help staff turn everyday tasks into smooth, automated workflows. Whether you're joining in person or logging in on your own time, the program’s AI-powered content meets you right where your goals are. With a focus on Design Thinking and backward design, you'll explore how to create meaningful, learner-centered experiences — all while getting instant feedback and discovering just how smart (and helpful) AI can be!

It all started with Chatbot GPT, where I transformed objectives and data into clear learning goals and scripts. Next, Synthesia stepped in to bring the content to life with videos for VILT sessions and flipped classrooms. Finally, Adobe Express tied it all together, blending audio, video, slides, and worksheets into seamless learning materials.
